Realizing a Dream

Writing has always been something I enjoy and I've wanted for a long time now to express myself in a way that maybe will encourage someone else.  So today I decided I would start blogging.  For a long time, I've hesitated to do so because I don't really have a theme for a blog.  I'm not particularly good at or passionate about anything enough to have an ongoing blog dealing with that topic.  But I do have my story to tell and insights I'm learning about life that I wish someone would have shared with me long before now.

Life is messy and complicated and sometimes ugly.  Life is lovely and simple too.  I want to notice the small things along with the big things because together, that is what makes up a life.  And the small and big things are all gifts from God, and how many gifts do we fail to notice because we're so busy trying to get to the next big thing?  So let's take the time to see beauty in the little things, the almost unseen things, the take-for-granted things.  You might have to stop and look really closely, but I promise, it's there.
